I just started reading about bees the last couple days and joined the site yesterday. It was raining and I had the day off so I just went for it. After looking at others designs I scratched some rough dimensions and tailored it to the free scraps I had lying around. I need to buy another set of viewing hinges and some cove or popsicle stick to attach to TB's. Hopefully I'm on the right track.
I still need to figure out the bottom screen or board. It looks too wide to me. I might add a eco-floor. |

Getting there. Got a little creative. Just need legs and decide on entrance.

That hive raises the bar on good looking hives. Now get some bees in it and have unlimited photo ops. _________________ This forum is a great place to learn the buzz on bees. |

I'm still debating entrance location. Once I join a beek club and source some bees I will follow their advice for what works in our zone. |
