    Hi guys,

    I happened to chance upon this website;

    http://royalblackhoney.com/website/aboutus.html

    There is this issue about only fake honey attracts ants. Is it true?

    Would really like someone to enlighten me because this is a very interesting issue. My honey does attract ants. Is it because my honey is fake?

    Regards,
    Little honey man

    From their site:

    Our really raw honey’s moisture content can be as low as 23%, and is usually deemed as more valuable and hence is relatively more costly.The less water content the raw honey has, the better the quality of raw honey .

    The maximum allowed water content in Europe is around 20% or a little less, as above that level it is liable to ferment!

    According to some raw honey expert, this raw honey (black honey) is far more better than manuka UMF 25+ (the healing process is more effective)

    I think they need to provide some evidence for that...

    That site says:
    1. Ants will not come close to the pure honey, ants don't like pure raw honey. If your honey crowded by ants...It is fake.

    I would like to know what they are smoking and where I can get some.

    I put out a harvested top bar for the bees to clean out before I put it back in the hive (I wanted to watch) and the local ants were delighted as well.

    Obviously your bees are making fake honey and should be punished.

    I have read several times to ONLY feed diluted honey as sugar ends up in the honey! Wouldn't this account for ants liking it? If I'm all wet, please overlook my ignorance. Just trying to be helpful. JL

    Nice looking website Shame the content appears to be mostly crud and a scam attempt.
